This place is definitely bang for your buck! If you are looking for cheap eats in London or a quick bite or snack, this is a must.

We got the Salt Beef Bagel and the sausage pastry, along with coffee and tea. The Salt Beef Bagel was yummyyy. Tender Beef, Hot mustard, briny pickles all on a nice bagel! We only got to come here once but we would definitely come back to try their cream cheese bagels. The sausage pastry was also good, for about a dollar you can't complain.

This place is old school, no frills. You order, you see them cut the beef, make your coffee and tea, and you are good to go. There is a standing counter along the wall to eat.

    I Give them 3.5

Like previous reviewer I also agree did not live up the the hype.

They don't toast bagel? Sorry as a New Yorker that's a foreign concept. She offered to "warm" it but I opted out ...

The bagel WAS good, quality was done right, chewy moist etc. was room temp with cold slab of plain cream cheese... It was good but wouldn't eat it again.

To be FAIR, I didn't try their famous bagel so maybe that's worth trying and could be better

I ordered a coffee and she put freeze dried instant coffee in a plastic cup and put hot water in it in front of me. After that I was done... not my thing.

Check it out and try it but that's about as positive I can get about this spot.

Lastly I should say their service was good they were very friendly and nice.

If you're looking for a meal on the cheap while in Shoreditch, then Beigel Bake will hit the spot.

Now, the lines get crazy at all times of the day, but can get even more chaotic during the lunch rush. That's okay - they move super fast, but just know what you want, cause the surly shopkeepers don't have time for indecisiveness!  Because we were overwhelmed, we actually went through the line three different times, but never waited more than 5-10 mins each time when it snaked out the door.

For food, we got the chicken beigel, salami, sausage roll and the salted beef beigel. The salted beef is what everyone comes from and will set you back about £4.50-£5.00 depending on whether you want it on a bagel or a sandwich, everything else is about £2 and under - a good value for sure!

Everything was good and the salted beef was our favorite out of all the things we tried. The combo of pickle, mustard, and salty beef made it hearty and memorable.

It's cash only and there is standing room only to eat at the counters. Looked like a majority of the locals took their food to go with them or to eat in the nearby park.

Beigel Bake was good, but I didn't feel that it lived up to the hype. When we arrived, the line was out the door, but it moved pretty quickly, so don't let that deter you. The employees were quite rude though, which is maybe why the line moved so quickly. Be ready with your order when they get to you! And have cash... They don't take credit cards.

I ordered the Salt Beef Beigel, which I've heard they are famous for. The beef was good, but a little too salty... And I LOVE salt. The bagel was good also, but just tasted like a standard bagel. Overall, it was a good, filling lunch for a great price.

Came here bright and early in the morning and avoided any kind of rush or crowd! Their salt beef beigel is delicious and they give you such a heaping of for a great price! BEWARE - this was my first experience with the mustard in London and it is VERY spicy. They love their horseradish but me not so much.
